A perfect unity of old and modern features
This garden, on a quite private road, was redeveloped after a new modern extension was built to accompany an otherwise traditional looking house.
The garden helps to unify the new and the old – with modern porcelain paving and clean lines that accompany more traditional elements of brick walls.
A bespoke oak pergola was added to the garden to add interest and a focal point.
A small water feature helps to animate the space and benefits local wildlife. The planting is relaxed and easy to maintain, with colour from spring till autumn.
Espaliered apple trees trained on the wall provide tasty fruit.
